The salads were an interesting mix of vegetables, pumpkin seeds and fruits which went well with cold cut hams and smoked salmon. The stir fry and preserved vegetables on the salad bar and as sides were also refreshing. As for the mains, the cold soba noodles with beef and egg white was quite al dente despite I found it slightly too spicy. The seaweed and oyster soup was traditional, tasty and not too salty. The grilled abalone was tender and the prawn was fresh. The beef was well marinated. With an additional $45 one could get fresh fruits and salads from the salad bar - the pineapples were ripe and sweet. Though there was a cake cutting fee, it only amounted to $300 per head - the perks of being a Jockey Club member!
