A few days ago, boyfriend was in the area with his friend and he discovered this place. So, he brought me here to give it a try.Haru Haru is a rather small restaurant that is literally in an alley. Haru Haru is a rather small restaurant that is literally in an alley. Well...technically, they have an actual restaurant but it's very small so they expanded into the alley to make it feel very dai pai dong. It serves Korean dishes and yes ... the ever popular Korean fried chicken. Menu is in English and Chinese. Appetizers. The appetizers given to us were pickled cucumbers, potatoes (or gamja jorim) and kimchi. The potatoes were soft and tasted very sweeet. The cucumbers were crunchy. The kimchi wasn't too spicy. Apple Cider ($38). This was originally $78 but they had a promotion and is now $38 so boyfriend ordered this. They served in stuck upside down into a glass of ice so that the cider would slowly drip down. I don't know the purpose of this but it seems to be very popular in Korea and several places here. To me, I think it just watered down the cider but it gets a lot of social media likes. Seaweed Roll ($32). This I liked. The rice was soft and not hard. It was rolled with egg, daikon, carrot, cucumber and spam. I never really had spam before in my seaweed rolls but it worked. I liked it enough. It came with a sauce that tasted oddly like soysauce mixed with sugar and mustard. I would pass on the sauce.
