As a new moral code is established, one is obligated to try out the famous michulin guide 米豬蓮 restaurants that are blooming everywhere in hk. While I do not take a political stand, esp in my foodie aspect of life. #coffee at #coffeeslave does not disappoint. Yes the cold brew does cost a whooping $45 while being on the set, but it has been one of the best (aroma-wise) I've had in this short coffee tasting life. Even my untrained pallet can be like oh man this is good coffee, I think that speaks a lot.
The food is a hit or miss. Today we had the tom yum pasta with shrimps, which is a bit of a meh. My grilled chicken pesto was a even bigger miss. Let me say this, this restaurant does not know how to make grilled chicken.
The pesto sauce is good, the pasta is good, and the shrimp is good, so the shrimp pesto salad I had here a few weeks ago was really good. They do change their menu often, so choose wisely.
The dinner menu is also impressively cheap and good value. The grilled chicken I added to the salad was pretty dry, but the overall quality of the salad is decent.
I also had the scrambled egg the other day and was a bit on the oily side but still good. The food can be a hit or miss, but I still keep coming back, hoping to try all items, but I might give up shortly because there is nothing more repelling than dry chicken breast. Pls grill them properly.
Okay there is one thing more repelling than dry grilled chicken-- pepe the frog and Trump. What an alternative world I am living here in hk, when the alt-right symbols here are used as symbols of democracy. Gimme a break sighhhhh
