I have tried the following:- Alomod Croissant - not sweet enuf, supposed to have some almond fillings inside but it only goes with a soft topping with sliced almond instead.- Chocolate croissant - this is the best one among the four. The chocolate coating goes well with the salty pastries and makes a good balance.- Apple custard danish - well the apple filling is kinda bland, maybe due to the absent of cinnamon and the custard is rather tasteless.- Coffee danish - The most crunchy pastries I hav

- Coffee danish - The most crunchy pastries I have ever tasted. However the streusal on top can be more sweeter and buttery and the coffee taste is jus in average.
Overall, for the texture of the pastries, they can gain 8 out of 10 because the pastries remains crunchy(yea, not crispy) even I have carried them for quite a distance and the internal layers are airy enuf for such crispiness. It is due to the heavy use of shortening/pastry butter to create such texture.
However, maybe also due to the above reason, the scent of REAL butter is almost absent for the pastries and it is a fatal demerit for every sorts of pastries.
Also even I ate them together with the fillings, I still dun think it is sweet enuf to be called as a sweet bread, and it is also the fact that the pastries itself is too salty.
But still to me, the pastries here are above- averagly good when comparing to other bakeries in Hong Kong, thou, it is a presumed fact that as the quality of the food and one's expecatation should always be directly proportion to its price...
