It was such a beautiful cafe that I immediately said yes as soon as my lunch partner suggested this cafe for lunch. The entrance to this cafe was very easy to find and it had super high ceilings - I guess two-storey. The interior renovation was very nice. It was very bright everywhere. The tables were marble. I was so glad that their lunch special menu had changed compared with my last visit. There were a few choices of mains at different prices on their lunch special menu. A soup of the day or salad and a drink were included in the set, with some choices of top-up at your discretion.
We decided to each order a set to share and then order one more pasta from their menu to share. As comments on the tiramisu was so good by other openrice bloggers, we decided to order one to share rather than topping up for their cheese cake.

The soup of the day was corn soup which we didn't fancy as much so both of us went for the caesar salad. The caesar salad had everything there should be including bacon pieces, French bread pieces, loads of romaine, sufficient salad dressing and cheese slices. The romaine were super fresh that every slice was so crispy. Together with the crispy bacon pieces and French bread pieces, the whole bowl offered the perfect crispy texture. The amount of salad dressing was about right. Very high quality salad indeed.

Salmon Fillet in a Bun with Mango Salsa at $168+10%
One of the sets we ordered was Salmon Fillet in a Bun with Mango Salsa. The presentation was exceptionally nice. The salmon fillet was cooked so well that it had crispy crust yet very tender and juicy interior which was not yet fully cooked. Very good indeed. The fillet was very long and portion was big! As you could imagine, it was really hard to eat the dish like eating a burger so we ate the bun with the mango salsa. The buns were both toasted which was so crispy yet had soft interior. Both had been applied by a layer of butter so that they smelt pretty good. The buns also went great with the fresh greens, mango salsa and some diced tomatoes and onions which were so refreshing and appetising. Accompanying the dish they offered some tortilla chips rather than the usual fries to make it a healthier dish overall.

Another lunch set we ordered was Braised Beef Rigatoni. To our surprise it was slightly spicy with black pepper! I really liked the texture of the rigatoni which was super al dente. The braised beef pieces were pretty tender. They also added quite some mushrooms to the dish and a few slices of hard cheese on top to enhance flavour. Sauce-wise, the amount wasn't too much and a bit dry but it was fine to me.
Americano (included in set)
A free hot Americano or Honey Lime was included in the lunch set. I was never a fan of coffee so couldn't really comment on the Americano.

I went for the hot honey lime which was served in such a pretty cup. It was not overly sweet at all.
That is all for the lunch special items.
We also ordered a Prawn Linguine in Tomato Sauce to share as we were quite hungry.

The 6 pieces of prawn were presented nicely on the plate. The linguine, which was very thin, was sufficiently dressed in the sauce. Although they said it was tomato sauce, I could find very rich flavour of lobster which made the pasta smell and taste so good! We finished the linguine in no time. Although the prawns were not giant, portion was quite big with 6 pieces altogether. I personally liked this pasta more than the other on their lunch special menu. Also look at the pretty small flower on top!

Dessert was a must. As feedback on this Tiramisu seemed pretty good on openrice, we decided to try it out. Again, it was presented so nicely on a plague. Portion seemed big but actually it was quite airy. There were 4 big and long lady fingers which were quite puffy surrounded by airy light mousse which was pretty delicious. So after finishing it you wouldn't find yourself too stuffed by this dessert. Compared with the traditional Tiramisu, this one was much less moist and less strong in alcohol/coffee. So it was quite my cup of tea. Interesting to note, there was a slice of dried orange on top together with some almond slices.
Service was attentive that they gave us new sets of plate and fork to share the cake. Overall, it was a very decent meal in an absolutely magnificent environment with pretty high quality of food.
