This is a simply interesting place. It has a self-serve beverage bar, chan ting sort of interior. And the taste is surprisingly authentic for prepared Italian style food. The first order of business is to caution about the (dong ling cha) 'tea' from the fountain. It was sweet. Outrageously sweet. Outrageously so because, I tried to dilute it to 50% and still found it too sweet. Unfortunatly, when diluted so, It lost any trace of tea taste; and was only sweet. This was a first for me. So, I resorted to the bagged tea and hot water to refresh my tastebuds.
On with the meal. The garlic bread arrived (an extra $4). With the exception that there was some charring (acceptable for local tastes; but not mine), I thought it was surprisingly rich and tasty.
The lunch entree ordered, was the pizza. The pizza was well accented with slices of mozzarella cheese. But, as tasty as it was, at 8" there was not enough to be adequately filling. Still the crust was well done, not crispy; nor too thick. Actually, it reminded me of the frozen pizza available in North America. But much better done.
題外話/補充資料:
Cash only. Unfortunately, not as filling as I would have liked - went for cheesecake elsewhere afterwards.
