P spotted the fish hanging in the fridge; chef explained that that particular one was not sufficiently aged yet; but we could have the threadfin, which was ready. Yes please! Grilled and served with a tangy plum sauce.
Here’s what we also had.
Deep Fried Octopus- interesting; flesh was surprisingly tender.
Seared Flounder Muscle. Loved it. Crispy with loads of texture.
Chicken Wing
Chicken Neck
Pork belly
Minced Chicken Skewer
Grilled Oyster
Japanese Yam
Pork Rice Roll- too much rice for me.
Picked cucumber as palette cleanser
Grilled Surf Clam
Fried Egg topped with white bait.
Dessert:
Espresso Orange Martini
Matcha Parfait (too much cream)
In summary: quality ingredients with excellent service. Loved the ambience. Interested to return for lunch to try the pasta and coffee.
