Lovely Coffee Shop for Afternoon Tea!

I like the atmosphere here more than the food really. The shop itself is small with no more than 4 or 5 tables. On one side, the entire wall has been painted with trees and flowers, which was a nice touch to the overall ambiance. There's a cute little table right in front of the painting but it's been reserved. We got one in the corner and ordered the afternoon tea set for 2 to share. Our trays arrived with 2 croissants on the top tier, 4 sandwiches on the middle tier, and 2 muffins and 4 cakes

Our trays arrived with 2 croissants on the top tier, 4 sandwiches on the middle tier, and 2 muffins and 4 cakes on the bottom tier. Starting with the top, the croissant were infused with truffle and the smell was appetizing. The croissant itself was crispy and buttery, and I wished there were more of it. The sandwiches were okay wtih eggs and iberico ham on bread - nothing really special here. The desserts were more creative with the flavors of the cake being pear and tofu, for example, and the taste was good and light. My only criticism is that all the cakes were basically the same texture, which doesn't really offer much variety. The muffins were small and not risen correctly. I think this is a nice place for afternoon tea which doesn't break the bank unlike some hotels, but you get what you pay for as well.
