Cozy stand alone restaurant tucked away in the corner which located away from the stretch of restaurants next to the harbour-front. The place had lovely bay windows and the fairy lights they used for decoration just added a romantic flair to the overall aesthetics of the restaurant. We started the night with a half dozen of fresh oysters and the grilled calamari. It was such a wonderful start to the night as the oysters were plump and fresh, and the calamari was so flavourful , especially if paired with the tomato salsa.
As it was a celebratory meal, we decided to splurge and ordered one salad along with two carb dishes and a main course.
The lobster catalan salad was definitely the highlight of the meal. A whole lobster was used for this salad, and there was no need for us to rip out the meat on our own. It was already nicely diced and tossed with a lovely salad dressing. I would say this is a must order dish!!
Then came the lobster linguine which was cooked just as advertised on their menu, definitely al dente! This dish was also topped with a whole lobster baked with cheese. It was a simple yet decadent dish.
We haven't had prosciutto in awhile so we decided to have it on pizza. Loved how they served the pizza with Tabasco sauce! It added a nice kick to a perfectly crusted pizza base.
This was dish after dish of delicious food and that was when we started to question our decision of ordering the grilled US angus ribeye steak. To be honest, the steak was a bit tough and it tainted our impression of an otherwise impeccable night. The mushroom sauce also tasted rather bland. Perhaps it was because we over ordered and our palates were beginning to be over critical, who knows.
No meal would be complete without dessert, so we each ordered a tiramisu. Nothing fancy, but it did the job of redeeming the food quality of this restaurant.
There was also a small shelf for purchase of condiments and oils and pastas which we did end up getting some organic chickpea pasta to try at home.
