Okay openrice doesn't allow half stars so I gave 3s and 4s but tbh I would give pretty much everything 3.5 if I could. Lunch is $268/2 courses or $338/courses which seems quite reasonable and is much cheaper than their dinner degustation menus ($1280/$1680 for 6 or 8 courses), but I have to say food quality is just so-so. The amuse bouche (potato cream foam) was probably the best item of the meal. The starters were beetroot thing and smoked mussels w/ capellini, which were all right nothing spec

The amuse bouche (potato cream foam) was probably the best item of the meal. The starters were beetroot thing and smoked mussels w/ capellini, which were all right nothing special. The mains were a bit disappointing. The fish looked nice and thick but it was Pacific cod (?) which was the milder and less juicy (and also cheaper) kind of cod as compared to the silky, flavourful black cod. For what is supposed to be "fine dining" I would expect at least something like sea bass. The pork shoulder tasted all right and wasn't tough but wasn't exactly very tender either. It was also a little dry, probably just because of the choice of cut. The crab meat risotto was better, even though I had the least expectation of it. The ratio of crab meat to rice was generous enough, though overall portion was pretty small. Waiter said the rice was Spanish rice not the Arborio rice typically used for risottos, and I didn't really like the texture very much but taste-wise it was okay. The dessert was sliced apple and cinnamon ice cream (though the menu said chocolate something and strawberry sorbet) and it was just fine. As you can see from the adjectives used the food wasn't particularly impressive despite the beautiful presentation. Service was also a bit slow. I know it may not be fair to judge a restaurant just by its lunch menu (especially given the huge price difference between lunch and dinner), but I definitely do think they need to improve on their lunch offerings. For the same or even cheaper prices there are plenty of better options.
