Today my friend and I had scheduled a lunch date in Sunshine Plaza. After meeting up at a spot, we started walking around the place in search for a comfy restaurant. Forty-five minutes later, we decided to eat at Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant. The waiters were quick and polite while our lunch date went well.Decor:The place was furnished with dark appliances but still manages to radiate a warm atmosphere. The place was furnished with dark appliances but still manages to radiate a warm atmosphere. The seat were comfy and there were a tray containing numerous condiments that customers might need. Very thoughtful indeed.
Service:
The waiters were very polite and quick-to-act. They were definitely fulfilling their job responsibilities.
Taste:
Rice Cake Au Gratin -The dish was shared by my friend and I. It costed HKD 38 and was satisfying. The savoury taste of the melted cheese accompanied well with the chew and bite of the rice cake. A very wondrous texture and sensory experience. And I was certainly glad that they used real cheese with real cheese flavour.
Pork Rice in Stone Pot (Small)-The rice was ordered by me and had costed HKD 38. As a spice lover, I had expected a kick in the dish as the menu labelled it as spicy. Unfortunately, the pot only had a tiny tinge of hotness in it and the pork was a bit too fatty without the right amount of meat to the cut. The rice was soft and with flavor but just wasn't what I had visualised.
The experience was ok and standard. Was a great place for a friend gathering though.
