I had a craving for Korean cold noodles and I came to Shinmapo for lunch as I noticed they had a lunch set that included this.They have some pretty inexpensive lunch set deals. All under $100 except for the BBQ items. However, those were under $200. Menu is in English and Chinese. All sets come with a drink and appetizers. If you order 3 sets, the fourth one is free. I came alone and I still got all these appetizers! They weren't that great and seemed like mostly pickles.
I chose a pomengranate-ade. It was basically red colored Sprite.
I chose cold noodles ($78). The portion size of the cold noodles was quite a lot. But it was just ok. They didn't seem to have added the refreshing taste of pear. So, it seemed more like noodles soaking in ice water and nothing much else. You really need to add the condiments that they provide for you to liven it up.
The cold noodles also included a plate of grilled pork. This was pretty good. The marinade was sweet and savory. It was still moist and tender.
For the price, it was a pretty good deal. There was a plenty of food and you do roll out full. Tastewise, I've had better but then it wasn't terrible. I'd come back.
