Godbro XO and I have been to New Market Street a couple of times, and each time we passed by Cafe Bauhinia, I was attracted by the two white bushes in the front and said we should check the cafe out! It was so hot last Saturday, I ran inside the cafe before snapping the two white bushes that are outside.
As soon as we walked in, a poster greeted us up top, and a cute pair of kittens greeted us by our ankles!
The decor of Cafe Bauhinia is floral, floral, floral! Everywhere we turned, flowers were greeting us in every direction!

Flowers below...
The potted plant was right by the bathroom that was upstairs, but it's situated right by your feet once you reach the upper level!
There were a couple of interesting memes hanging inside the bathroom.
Even more flowers, right at our table!
And, if you'd like, you can even reserve a floral jamming session!
The cafe had a self-service station with drinking water, paper cups, plastic cutlery, and napkins.
By the cashier, there's an interesting-looking penguin toothpick dispenser!
After getting mesmerized by the decor of the cafe, XO and I finally settled into our seats and looked at the menu. He was interested in the afternoon tea set, but since it's lunch time, I was looking for more savory items. The server told him that he can actually order a tea set for one, so he went with it, and I ordered a sandwich.
Even though the lunch set comes with a standard drink, I saw that the cafe offers a few blue butterfly pea drinks that looked beautiful, so I decided to order the Blue butterfly pea Jasmine green tea instead.
When the Blue butterfly pea Jasmine green tea was served, it came in a plastic cup like those from bubble tea places. The server told me that it's served in that cup so that it would be presented with its various layers of blue color, and then I can shake it, and it would become a uniform Tiffany blue color.

XO decided to give me 3 of the items from his tea set as he is allergic to some of the ingredients.
The server saw that we were sharing the items, so she gave us these beautiful blue plates that sort of resembled pretty tiles!

Godbro XO's tea set came with small dainty picnic cutlery, and my sandwich came with full size silver-colored plastic cutlery!
The salad that came with the sandwich was very fresh and had a nice variety of greens!

For a tiny cafe that is hidden on the tiny New Market Street, Cafe Bauhinia serves really delicious drinks and food! The chicken pate sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I've had in Hong Kong recently! (Good and hearty sandwiches without a hefty price tag are hard to come by in Hong Kong for some odd reason!) The floral theme and decor makes the cafe a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city!
