Bake N Grill has become my favourite restaurant in Quarry Bay, this is my second time coming here and I am sure I will come back again. The American style restaurant is just a few minutes away from MTR exit, serving mainly steak and pasta dishes in their dinner menu. There are pasta set and steak set available but I have chosen the latter one once I am kind of a meat lover. The set comes with appetizer, soup, steak, and coffee/tea.
Gwei Lo Beer
The restaurant do offer BOGOF Happy Hour offer since it is located close to a bunch of A listed offices in Taikoo Place. Their craft beer are carefully selected. Apart from Gwei Lo, there are a range of fruity floral beer with special flavours. Cocktails are also available with your desired choice of flavor or colour.

A classic light appetizer to enjoy but they have also added slices of very ripe creamy avocado, along with some mixed green salad, mozzarella cheese, and sweet & juicy Australian tomatoes. The creaminess from the avocado perfectly balanced with the milky soft mozzarella cheese and the sweet tomato slices. The refreshing dish is no doubt appetizing, marking a great start of a hearty steak dinner.

A traditional English soup made with celery, leek, potato, clams, and of course some cream. After taking the first sip, the creaminess is over the top with an aromatic seafood taste from the clam, yet not too creamy until hard to drink. The thick soup is cloudy and full of fresh ingredients. I also liked the fact they didn’t overload the soup with potatoes otherwise it is going to be too powdery and too filling before we move on to our main course.

Though steak is the signature dish of the restaurant, their pork is actually their hidden talent! The Japanese pig was fed with good water and food. It was sous vide, and char grilled with roasted whole garlic, wedges, and 3 peppercorn sauce.
We were recommended to enjoy it with only medium well doneness but I personally would prefer a little bit rarer, maybe around medium rare! So, I guess I will have to come back again next time! Anyhow, the grilled garlic is just as good as it can get, the soft garlic was super flavourful and it acted like an active agent, boosting the flavor of the pork itself!

Lastly, we tried their refreshing fruity sorbet as dessert. They have coconut ice cream, as well as green apple, pineapple, and mango sorbet.
Their mango sorbet is not sweet at all which I really enjoyed. The sorbet was full of slightly sweet and tangy mango flavor. I also scrapped out the mango flesh after finishing all the sorbet in the shell! Yum!!!

I always like to have a nice cup of espresso after a meal. I would have to say that they do serve very good coffee with a good balanced bitterness and char flavor kind of aroma. Espresso is also a good way to help digestion and I always drink that after my dinner because I always have to work till very very late at night !
