I had no experience with Mexican food before my visits to Mr Taco Truck so I'm not gonna comment on the authenticity of the food here. The first thing that catches my eye was the smart orange and yellow decor that really looks like a truck of some sort. Chicken Burrito (Half $33) has Rice, Pinto Beans, Cilantro, Salsa wrapped inside a Flour Tortilla. Half size is already pretty filling for me. Although there is lots of starch in it, the slightly pungent cilantro (芫茜) and tangy and spicy salsa brighten it up.
Grilled Fish Taco ($16) - Cilantro, Onions & Salsa, Mayonnaise, Corn Tortilla - the tortilla is served flat on the plate. Well I like the more "texturised" corn tortillas better than flour ones. The green salsa is "hotter" than the red one and of course suits my taste better.
I think the best things at Mr. Taco Truck are its Mexican drinks ($15).
Horchata is a milky-white drink made with rice, very rich and sweet like milkshake and ...OMG there's cinnamon inside! My favorite!
Jamaica on the other hand is a rose-colored rosehip drink, if you want something lighter and fruity this is the drink of choice here. Still a bit too sweet for me though.
Great place for a light meal (and people spotting!), but what a pity that it's closed on Saturdays and public holidays - this would be a great weekend hangout spot!
