I’ve been wanting to try this place’s mini French toast and was planning on eating it as dessert after my XO sauce char siu egg omelette rice last time, but I was too full from the rice so I decided to come another time. I was in the area today, so I went and tried it! I thought it would be 4 mini French toasts (to make up one regular sized French toast), but it turned out to be two, drizzled in chocolate sauce and sprinkled with slivered almonds with red beans on the side. Even though I have a sweet tooth, it was too chocolate-y for me. I didn’t add any syrup cuz the chocolate syrup was enough for me. I sandwiched the red bean in between the french toast and to my surprise, the red bean was cold. But it was sweet and the beans were cooked well beforehand. (Red beans can be bitter if you don’t boil them in water before actually cooking them and if you don’t cook them for long enough, they’re hard.) The toast itself was thick and soft. Even though the menu said there’s peanut sauce in it, I barely tasted it and so I peeled the French toast apart and there was hardly any peanut butter in it. To beh honest with you, chocolate and red bean isn’t the best combo…

This was a tea set and so I ordered hot water with egg since it seemed interesting. I thought it was just the name and didn’t think it would literally be an egg in hot water, but it was 😮. Even though the tea set comes with a hot drink, the waitress told me that she wasn’t sure if I will have to pay extra for the drink and so she told me she’ll ask and let me know if I had to pay more. The drink was like a messed up poached egg 😂 and so I “ruined” the “poached egg” some more by breaking the yolk. The drink just tasted like a watered down egg. I don’t know if I was supposed to add sugar to it.. but oh well. It was an interesting drink 😂
