Little Bao is a playful cross cultural diner in Causeway Bay. It has recently revamped their outdoor dining area, making it the perfect place for a chillax meal with with natural sunlight. Using condiments and ingredients from Chinese cuisines, Little Bao adventurously combines them using modern and western cooking methods.
Little Bao offers a wide array of burgers with the use of traditional, soft, fluffy steamed buns you find in dim sums.
My all time favorite has to be the fried chicken Bao. Three yellow chicken, which is prized for its smooth and juicy flesh is used. Black vinegar and Sze Chuan peppercorn sauce gave the Bao an Oriental twist. We especially loved the numbing sensation from the sauce.
The slow-braised pork belly Bao is another signature dish. The Hoisin sauce ketchup and sesame Mayo added extra acidity and umami.
Their other snacks were wonderful too, and I would recommend their seaweed poppers, truffle fries and shrimp tacos. Do try their tossed noodles too! Their flavors switch every once in a while. Oh, and of course also their fried Icecream Baos are not to be missed!
