So I was very excited to hear about a new Caribbean place in HK as I am big on Caribbean cuisine. I had a few friends who had raved on about the place so I finally decided to try it out myself. Here are my thoughts (based on the food aspect only, as I did not go there to drink)ecor & Music- perhaps the only bit I genuinely liked. Was good to see the consistent Caribbean theme throughout; repping Antigua, Jamaica etc. The music was on point - I had to restrain myself from breaking out into a dutt

Food - My friend and I both ordered Rice n Peas with Jerk Chicken - the most standard and popular Jamaican dish there is. This is where my dissatisfaction kicked in.
So after waiting a good 25 min, our rice came out first. Raaaah... I had to squint my eyes because the rice was served up in this tiny little bowl fit for toddlers. In my head, I thought it was a joke - I have never seen anyone serve up rice and peas like that before. The rice was dry and bland too. The next joke was when they brought out the jerk chicken.. wait for it... WITH MAYONNAISE PON DI SIDE. Who eats jerk with mayo?! The chicken was not a whole thigh either - was some other part of the chicken. But to be fair, the taste was ok. Can't complain too much about it. Perhaps my expectations of jerk and rice and peas are too high?
Customer Service - Wasn't really impressed. One of the waitresses (I won't describe who) was unresponsive and just generally unhelpful. Asked her for tomato ketchup: "Don't have any".
Overrall comments - If you like reggae and bashment tunes, they got that right. If you're looking for a proper filling Caribbean dinner the way it SHOULD be, I can redivert you to better sources. The overall experience was a dead ting fi true!
題外話/補充資料：
For people who are familiar with Caribbean food - keep your expectations low. This place is overrated and average at best.
