Freezer has become our Sunday resort and we kept being showered by pleasant surprises.We found out we could bring our dogs there, as long as they do not put their paws on the table. We are still planning to bring our two dogs to Freezer one of these days. I found out that Pizzas could be totally yummy. (I used to hate pizzas). I found out that Pizzas could be totally yummy. (I used to hate pizzas). At the beginning, I stuck to my Mushroom Pizza every time but soon found other pizzas can be just as good.
We also found out that they don’t only have a Black Forest but a White Forest as well. At the beginning we were not sure of their recommendation, but were soon convinced it was just as recommendable.
So after one Sunday dinner at Freezer, a week before my family and I were to have my birthday dinner there, I decided to place an order of a birthday cake with my Chocolate Truffle as base and White Forest as top.
And just as were about to leave, we were presented with a slice of their Mango Cake, another masterpiece of the baker and chef.
That would present me with a problem. ‘Could we have a cake with a bit of everything?’ I asked the baker-chef. He was only too happy to try out new things.
Our Dinner Menu for seven was:
- Borsht Soup (only Stephen it; he said it was the best Borsht he’d ever had) *****
- 2 x Buffalo Chicken Wings *****
- 1 x Swiss Chicken Wings *** (nothing special)
- 2 Green Salads with Italian dressing *****
- 2 Pork Chop Buns *** (Pork chop was good but there was too much mayonnaise)
- 2 Mushroom Pizzas *****
- A 3-layer birthday cake with huge strawberries on top *****

The cake won applause from everyone. But the biggest surprise was yet to come: I received, from the restaurant, a wonderful bouquet of burgundy roses and beige flowers dotted with tiny white gypsophila.
More applause as the singer sang the Happy Birthday song.
What Freezer does not know is: I have actually celebrated my happy birthday there three times this year and I intend to celebrate one more time with friends on coming Friday, the First of May.
