I realized it had been a long time since I had a Mos Burger. I used to love Mos Burger but it was too far from where I live that I didn't make an effort to eat there. Mos Burger is fast food burger place from Japan. The burger meat is more soft, more like a Japanese burger than a regular Western burger that most of us know and love. I know some people don't like a Japanese burger but I like the fluffy bit of meat.
As I hadn't been to Mos Burger in a LONG LONG time, I didn't know they had completely revamped their menu. They now have different items for their sets. Before it was just fries or salad and a drink or soup. Now you can order croquettes and pudding desserts! Menu is in English and Japanese with photos.
Mos Cheeseburger. The burger is small so for those that have huge appetites, this is not for you. It included not only the burger patty, a slice of cheese and one huge slice of tomato (one of the favorite things I love about Mos Burger) but their meat sauce. I love the meat sauce. It's like a mix between a slider and a hamburger. The meat sauce was meaty in a rich tomato sauce. The bun was a bit flatter than I remembered it. It used to be more fluffy.
I made it a set by adding a pumpkin croquette. This was pretty good though a bit over fried so it looked darker than normal. The filling was packed with pumpkin and not overly starchy.
I don't like soft drinks so I added the corn soup as my drink. It was ok. Tasted like stuff made from powder. I think it used to be better.
Overall, the whole set cost around $80. Mos Burger always feels like you spent a lot of money for not really making you feel full. The food was average but I like the various options to make your set how you want it. I think I return to Mos Burger every so often when I have a craving.
