Aqua was in the winner round of Restaurant Week Spring 2019 for its view. I should have known that means food was not as good as other restaurants, but I didn’t know that the “Best View” could also be quite disappointing. This is the view we got from our table. To be honest, it wasn’t good at all. Quite a number of restaurants in the hood would offer a much better view.

My friend and I thought that this wall of sakura blossom was the best view in the restaurant. Pathetic.

Didn’t have much expectation for the food, but still I was quite disappointed. To start with, I got this Smoked Salmon, 64 Degree Egg with cauliflower puree and dill oil. The smoked salmon was very ordinary, and I couldn’t figure out a way to eat the 64 degree egg as in what should I do with the runny egg yolk? There was no toast to eat with, so I kinda mix it with the cauliflower puree to eat it. Oh well, you couldn’t actually intake liquid food with just fork and knife, so I left pretty much 90% of the egg yolk on the plate…
Grilled Pork Ribs with Japanese Vegetables and Barley

Main was this Grilled Pork Ribs with Japanese Vegetables and Barley. The pork ribs were so bony! You need to work hard with your knife and forks in order to get the tiny bit of meat off the bone to eat. I wasn’t sure if the ribs were grilled or just soaked with salty barbecued sauce, which made the ribs really salty…The only good thing about this dish was the barley. Er….
White Chocolate Panna Cotta with magon and passion fruit

Dessert was comparatively the best. This White Chocolate Panna Cotta with magon and passion fruit was ordinarily good. Yet I couldn’t taste the white chocolate in it…

I don’t think I would ever visit Aqua again, neither the view or food is appealing.
