I arrived at the restaurant early so I did not have to wait and was immediately seated. I ordered a chicken curry that comes with 2 pieces of parathas, a balacan fried morning glory and some vegetable spring rolls. The morning glory arrived first and immediately you can see, smell and taste that it was burnt. I had a couple of mouthfuls and decided to let the waiter know that the burnt taste was really strong. I ordered a chicken curry that comes with 2 pieces of parathas, a balacan fried morning glory and some vegetable spring rolls. The morning glory arrived first and immediately you can see, smell and taste that it was burnt. I had a couple of mouthfuls and decided to let the waiter know that the burnt taste was really strong. He immediately told the Manageress who came over and looked unhappy that I had made a complaint. I told her to smell the dish as she didn't believe me, so she took the dish away and mumbled under her breath that it wasn't burnt. She then told me to order something else off the menu, and I asked if she could make me the same dish, but she said to order something else to avoid the same problem. There wasn't anything on the menu that I wanted so I asked for some more parathas instead. The waiter then asked me to wait and said "I'll check if that's allowed". I was thinking huh? Why isn't that allowed? It turns out that the Manageress wanted me to order something of the same value as the morning glory as she was not prepared to take that amount off the bill. I then kicked up a fuss because she made me look like that I was causing a hassle deliberately. In the end, she gave in and took the morning glory off the bill and gave me the parathas instead.
For the chicken curry, it looked like it was half a portion and there wasn't even enough sauce for me to mop up with the parathas. It was supposed to be chicken thigh meat but it tasted more like old chicken breast meat.
The best thing was the spring rolls as it was hot and crispy.
