THE QUEUE WAS UNBELIEVABLY LONG! I can only remember waiting and waiting with a number that was like 70+ away from the number they were calling at the time I took the number card -.-" The location of this restaurant is kind of easily accessible though as we just hopped over for dinner after shopping at Jusco Whampoa Was another dinner with mummy and after the long queue, we were just not that bothered anymore with what we should eat. Was another dinner with mummy and after the long queue, we were just not that bothered anymore with what we should eat. Just ordered a starter and main meals, hoping to get our food as fast as possible. Another thing disappointing was that the main course arrived earlier then our salad and when we asked the waiter, he replied us that "it is coming" before even checking the computer system or checking with the kitchen. RUDE much, I know your busy but... seriously 0.0
We ordered the DIY potatoe salad, was in a rush to eat so forgot to note down the prices and exact names of the food. my apologies The DIY salad was so simple, I just don't get how it can take sooo long for the kitchen to produce (30mins)- the DIY part of the game was that I need to mash up the potatoes myself. It was pretty fun though... hahahha but the salad felt as though it was warm, probably left aside before it got to my table 0.0
The chicken katsudon was not much of a surprise. Tasted very much like those I get in normal Japanese restaurants, however, as you can see from the picture, the portion can be considered pretty large and so it was quite nice to fill my stomach The pot was seen to be ordered by many tables and so we decided to try it as well The beef tasted great actually, despite all those negative comments made above hahaa. The soup was very sweet and after cooking the beef in there, with the mixture of corn, tofu and mushrooms, etc in the pot, the soup became AMAZINGGGG~ It tasted almost heaven-like hahaha. And we ordered together with the pot, udon and so additional soup were given to us so we can actually cook it. But once we did that, the sweet and juicy part of the soup just disappeared. But it was a good experience anyways.
Oh well, kind of busy to write more but this restaurant, I suggest you to only visit it when they are not so busy. Not during peak times as their service worsens and the waiting time is just insane. We just didn't want to leave- too tired to walk anymore ha. The food is at reasonable taste and portion and the environment can be considered Japanese haha. It was quite dim with lighting but the decoration is interesting
