YOI Coffee & Bakery is a relatively new addition to the ever growing café scene in Kowloon City! Dropped by over the weekend to try out their signature shakshuka and pastries too! ✨ Pic 1️⃣: Chorizo Shakshuka / 北非沙卡蔬卡 配意大利香草麵包 - $108 hkd 🍳 — It’s been a while since I’ve had shakshuka and this definitely hit the spot! This simple yet hearty dish is perfect for breakfast or brunch as it’s guaranteed to fill you up. The chunky tomato sauce was so flavourful, with an aromatic blend of herbs and spices

— It’s been a while since I’ve had shakshuka and this definitely hit the spot! This simple yet hearty dish is perfect for breakfast or brunch as it’s guaranteed to fill you up. The chunky tomato sauce was so flavourful, with an aromatic blend of herbs and spices. It was definitely quite spicy though so those who can’t handle spice might have to steer away from the dish. The poached egg in the middle made the sauce quite creamy and was perfect for dipping the bread into. The focaccia on the side was also delicious, nicely toasted leaving it super crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle.

— Tastes as good as it looks! The flavour of pistachio cream filling was insanely rich and the texture was really light and smooth, loved that the dessert wasn’t overly sweet either. Though I personally thought the choux buns were a bit too hard and crunchy, making them seem over baked.
Pic 3️⃣: Poached Eggs & Smashed Avocado on Milk Toast / 水煮蛋牛油果泥牛奶吐司 - $98 hkd 🥑
— Can’t go wrong with avocado toast! This smashed avocado had a unique minty taste to it which I loved, making the dish very refreshing and appetising. The milk toast was super fluffy and had a rich milky flavour to it. Loved the generous sprinkling of feta cheese and black olives on top for that extra bit of flavour and savouriness.
