this Sunday I took my friends from Taiwan to this restaurant because it is something that he doesn't get back home. I have been there previously for drinks and they make really really good cocktails.Ttoday I was convinced by their waitress to try their Bloody Mary - the secret recipe that involves oysters which gives it a unique taste of the ocean. indeed very refreshing and perfect to start the evening (I have been drinking in soho the whole day I need to wake up a little bit).
On the menu there are a lot of dishes that are made with organic vegetables. To start with we have the pickled pumpkin which was sweet and sour and is the perfect starter. I was waiting for my friend who was almost an hour late and the staff was very kind enough to offer some bread with other organic picked veggies complimentary! very sweet.
ones my friends are seated we order more drinks and food. The macaroni and cheese is just bloody amazing! OMG the pasta is done to perfection - slightly al dente and incredibly well seasoned, creamy with eggyork and some cheese but you don't find it heavy at all! A highly recommended dish.
my friend had that burgers which was also highly recommended by the waitress but I didn't try it so no comment.
finally we have the desset. the banana split with ice cream is incredible. and banana is slightly sweetened with just a little bit of caramel. amazing. not a big fan of ice cream myself so I didn't try it - and would be good to leave the ladies try the sugary bit.
It was a very relaxing Sunday and I will come back hopefully soon.
