We booked a table so we didn't have to wait. First up they served some popcorn. We were starving so we just popped a few into our mouths. It was sightly spicy and it was a very intersting and nice combo. Never had spicy flavored popcorn before so I was pleasantly surprised. Then we had 擔擔麵 - it was spicy but just at the right level! I love eating spicy foods and this didn't fail to satisfy! The hotness is definitely not mild like other shops where they toned it down notches to cater to the ta

Then we had 擔擔麵 - it was spicy but just at the right level! I love eating spicy foods and this didn't fail to satisfy! The hotness is definitely not mild like other shops where they toned it down notches to cater to the taste of Hongkongers. Spicy, meaty, fragrant.. Loved it!
Afterwards, our dimsums arrived at the table:
素餃 - Usually it's not one of my favs.. I prefer meaty dumplings way more. Though these weren't remarkable but they're good enough.
蔥油大餅 - I'd definitely recommend it. Again, it's not something you can make it totally special, but perfecting it is already enough.
蘿蔔絲酥餅 - Rich, flaky pastry with plenty of juicy fillings inside. Served piping hot, a winner.
水煮牛肉 - HOTTTTTTTTT my mouth was burning and subsequently went numb for at least 15 minutes.... I couldn't eat much since it was SO SPICY!!!! I had to gobble up my tofu milkshake to slightly cool off the heat! But from the 3 slices of beef I had in total I'd say it's yum!
糖醋魚 - couldn't remember much since i was so full at that point of the meal... though I remember it was nice as well
Tofu Milkshake - read from OR that it's a recommended item and we did try it. I agree with fellow ORers that it's a must-order item! I mean, I love tofu and the shake was like liquid tofu, what more can you expect? :>
Overall, a very good restaurant. It delivers the quality that you'd expect from some traditional Sichuanese/Shanghaiese dishes.
