Both my parents, my wife and I decided to spend some quality time by having lunch together outside. Since the new Korean shop at ocean pop walk just opened, we decided to check it out! Both my parents, my wife and I decided to spend some quality time by having lunch together outside. Since the new Korean shop at ocean pop walk just opened, we decided to check it out! However, we were unable to buy anything due to swarms of people that were drawn in by the promotions!

Therefore, we wandered around the area looking for a suitable place to eat lunch. We decided on Guy-hachi, and waited in a queue to the front desk for around 7 minutes, wanting to see if a walk-in is possible. When the waitress came, she told everyone to get a ticket first. Since we wanted to sit together, we got a B ticket (for 3-4 people). Upon discovering that the wait could be around 20 minutes or more, we took two A tickets (for 1-2 people) before we continued our discussion.

After 40 minutes had passed, we went to ask the front desk how long it would take. To which she showed us the waiting queue (see picture; shows ticket B006 taken at 13:53, A019 and A020 taken at 13:56, C001 taken at 13:58! Interestingly, A021, A022 and A023 were them too!) and showed that we were next! Excited, we waited together near the entrance. We saw two empty tables next to each other and decided to wait patiently. After another 10 more minutes, a different waiter came and called C001! Now, we were confused as the the C table took their ticket at least 6 minutes (not counting the time we waited at the front desk) after us. When we asked the waiter what had happened, he said it is the restaurant’s policy to choose A, B, C tickets in that specific order (which made no sense because we had witnessed multiple A tickets called in a row). When we asked to speak to a manager, he claimed that he was the manager and he did not care what time you got the ticket.

Frustrated, annoyed, feeling some injustice done to us, we left as we knew if we had eaten there… we would hate it
