It was such a sunny Sunday so me and my boyfriend decided to ride the bike in Shatin. Before we went to rent the bike, we looked for something to eat first. I heard that there were lots of cafe in Tai Wai so I randomly chose one. Cafe ancient was just around the corner from the MTR station so it was very easy to find. When we got there, I saw lots of bicycles outside the cafe already. The cafe was full of people! Luckily we got the last table. We got the all day breakfast since we saw everyone
Okinawa love:
Since it was so hot today, my boyfriend got iced coffee. It was on the sweet side and creamy.
Macadamia nut latte:I always love my coffee to be hot so I got a cup of hot macadamia nut latte; I couldn't taste any macadamia nut flavour but the coffee was nice and tasty.
Truffle penne:I was craving for pasta today and wasn't really into having meat these day so I got the mushroom penne. This is such a great dish for vegetarian or people on diet. There were all sorts of mushrooms within this dish and they were soft to eat. There was a strong truffle taste in every bite which I loved! The sauce was creamy and smooth; the penne was cooked perfectly and the whole dish was seasoned nicely.
All day breakfast combo A:My boyfriend got combo A because he loves egg benedict and this one didn't disappoint him. The pouched egg was cooked perfectly, the sauce tasted so nice with the egg and ham; it was so creamy. There were three different types of sausage, they were all very tasty and they tasted so good after dipping with the baked bean. The mash potato was smooth and buttery, there were also some potato crumbs.
This cafe is such a great place for gathering, the food was good and the environment was warm and comfortable. I heard that they have live music on some of the night, will definitely come on one of those days. 張貼
