Blendin is located just off Causeway Bay MTR station. Situated at the top of the building, the restaurant provided a nice view atop a busy district. Decoration was nice, and spacious and would make the restaurant a comfortable place to hang out with your friends, especially with their afternoon tea set menu! APPETISER: HIROSHIMA OYSTER SOUP & BLACK TRUFFLE MUSHROOM SOUP
We started the meal with warm hot bowls of soups. The oyster soup was fresh and not too thick while the truffle mushroom soup had a very earthy and rich truffle aroma.
PASTA 1: URCHIN ORZO
This dish was extremely creamy with thick sea urchin umami undertones. For those who are not familiar, Orzo is a pasta that has a creamier and softer texture when compared to rice!
PASTA 2: LANGOSTINOS LINGUINE
We were treated linguine dish in a unique cordyceps militaris sauce and topped with a juicy langoustine tail. It was our first experience having cordyceps as a sauce base, and it was interesting definitely!
MAIN 1: IBERICO PORK T BONE STEAK
You can never go wrong with a Spanish Iberico pork! Here we have a well sous vied t-bone steak that was nicely seared on all side. The steak was well seasoned and extremely juicy!
MAIN 2: CODFISH W LEMON BUTTER FOAM
This dish was extremely memorable due to the lemon butter foam which added to the varying textures available throughout the dish! The codfish was fresh and flaky. The flakes and corn provided some sweetness and crunch while the tomatoes provided a tangy citrus balance.
