Despite the cramped dining area, it was pleasant evening. We liked that we could see what was going on in the kitchen. The music was a little loud for the atmosphere. The food was really good and the portion size was good value for money. We had the steak and fish and chips. The dish was not dry and the steak was cooked just how we asked for it to be cooked and tender. The dish was not dry and the steak was cooked just how we asked for it to be cooked and tender. They accidentally gave us sweet potato fries instead of what we originally requested and gave us an extra plate or what had ordered. So the service is top notch.
The salmon was surprisingly delicious and tender. The mussels were fresh and the sauce was really great.
The only downside with what we ordered was that the ice cream with the whip cream topping was more whip cream topping than anything. We found ourselves scooping off spoonfuls of whip cream into an empty beer glass just to get to the ice cream.
