Heard about this italian restaurant for a long time and always want to visit,so i final had come with my husband for the first time last week at our 3rd anniversary.well... i must be honest that it was nothing like that i expect.i am fans of new approach of italian cusine, so i thought domani would be the perfect choice.but it turns out with an old-fashion and traditional touch and it wasnt something i look for at domani.the appetizer was something like a tomato jelly salad. well... i must be honest that it was nothing like that i expect.
i am fans of new approach of italian cusine, so i thought domani would be the perfect choice.
but it turns out with an old-fashion and traditional touch and it wasnt something i look for at domani.
the appetizer was something like a tomato jelly salad. (sorry for i didnt copy the exact name from menu)
it was quite nice and i enjoy the choice of combinations.
the main I chose lobster pasta and my husband chose duck. I like the lobster sauce very much. My husband said the duck was fine but not impressive enough.
dessert is something that i hope for most before coming, as I once saw the beautiful picture of very special dessert from magazine.
but actually it fail me the most in the whole dinner.
I have order a strawberry salad and I was shock by its appearance.
There is no presentation at all and the mix-berries sauce at bottom actually look awful. It was a great disappointment from what I saw in here (openrice) before.
My husband had a lemon tea jelly and I was surprise to see simple jelly as dessert in a fine dinner. It didn’t look good as well. Taste was not bad but I was looking for some different things like fruit foam or special combination.
Or, at least a good presentation of food is required for dessert, at least I think so.
the environment is super here. so beautiful and modern and romantic.
but the food was another story.
not actually bad but i do expect more from them.
I wonder do they change the menu or do they have a different chef?
i have asked people who came before and my experience is nothing like them.
