I have never written a review before about a poor experience at a restaurant - however 2 and a half hours after the meal I am still scathing.My girlfriend and I decided we would try out the eateries around Kennedy Town this weekend and found this place, cute from the outside, with a decent crowd we thought , sure why not lets give it a go. My girlfriend and I decided we would try out the eateries around Kennedy Town this weekend and found this place, cute from the outside, with a decent crowd we thought , sure why not lets give it a go. How wrong an idea that was....
We were sat by the door, not an issue it was quite pleasant and began our odering which was a convoluted ordeal via scanning a QR code that brought you to a non-user friendly interface on your mobile.
Upon ordering, myself your traditional english breakfast and my girlfriend a salmon salad, we proceeded to wait. and wait. and wait some more - even the table next to us complained about fries they ordered that never came. We should have taken that as a sign.
Next, the manager at the establishment forced us to change tables because our table was meant for pets and a walk in guest had just come with her dog - if this was your rule from the get go - we would have been more than okay having you seat us within the restaurant instead of moving us 20 minutes in.
After 37 minutes we finally got our meal - or should i say I did.. the salad which requires little to no cooking came later - disheveled and looking worse for wear.
As someone who has a degree in hospitality, the service standards at this place do not exist - our complaints were met with just sorry's and the fact that this eatery is not cheap further promoted the problem ( 460 HKD for 2 drinks, a salad and a english breakfast). Having to pay an additional 10% service charge when the service was horrendous was just the icing on the cake... we left immediately after.
To those passing through, i reccomend doing a u-turn and finding somewhere else until their issues with both the kitchen and front of staff operations are significantly changed.
