At first, I thought Dining Kitchen Vegi is a vegetarian restaurant but then I found that they do serve meat dishes but they are pretty good! So, stay tuned for my review! I also liked how they serve it with a kind of Thousand Island sauce to give an extra sweetness to this bite size "No Carb" sushi bite.
It's almost buttery to have minced tuna with avocado at the same time. Though with all those different ingredients, the fish taste is still prominent with a fresh taste. Deep fried souffie of Japanese yam $108
Yam is one of the very old-style ingredients to enjoy in Japanese culture. The yam has been prepared in a shape of pancake which is exceptionally special with a very unique texture. It is topped with some bonito flakes, mayo, terriyaki sauce, and some pickled radish, which really reminded me of the Osaka's Okonomiyaki but it's much lighter with a very subtle earthy taste. It is the restaurant's signature dish and it is really surprisingly good because of its very tender texture succulent melting texture. It is almost like a block of butter that would allow my knife to cut through it effortlessly. The really thick sauce that serves with it is really flavourful with just the right savouriness. It's certainly one of the best pieces of ox tongue I have ever had in my life. Sweet potato tempura is served on the side and it is pretty unique as it changes the taste of the sweet potato itself after being deep fried in a light tempura batter. Two types of sauces are served with radish sauce and a type of savoury BBQ sauce. I personally like to have the beef as it is because it is already flavourful enough that doesn't require any more condiments to go with it. Wagyu A4 sirloin steak of Miyazaki $220
As soon as I came to know that the beef is imported from Japan, I know that it is not going to disappoint me. Also, as soon as the dish was brought to us, I can already tell the quality of the beef because of its amazingly beautiful purple colour. The fat content is really high and it is literally melting in my mouth in no time. For this price, you get what you expected and we are very happy with it. Steamed rice in earthern pot with Satsuma-chicken and burdock and mushroom $180
We just have to have some rice to fill us up especially when there are guys eating with you, because meat is simply not enough to satisfy them. The whole pot of rice has been brought to us piping hot so be careful!
I liked that it is not like the Hong Kong style clay pot because it is still super super moist but each kernal of rice is still separating with a very elastic texture. It is stated that only Japanese rice is used in this dish and you can straight away tell that they are not lying.
Meanwhile, Japanese chicken is also used in this dish. The chicken tasted light but still very aromatic with the original flavour from the chicken itself. With the compliment from some shredded carrots, the rice is a bit sweet from the veggie and from the rice itself. I absolutely enjoy the quality of this rice and I can definitely eat this kind of rice every single day.

Lastly, we cannot simply skip dessert during a perfect meal. We have ordered a very authentic Japanese dessert to share. You can see that it is very fresh because it is almost like melting away yet still maintaining its form. I enjoyed it very much but I would like to have more soy powder if I can be picky on it.
Overall, it is a very good meal with good quality of food. This restaurant has been opened for a long time I just had never had a chance to pay a visit and I do not regret it this time! The owner is from Japan therefore the quality is guaranteed. I am so going to recommend this place to my friends who love Japanese cuisine!
