The staff are super friendly and the environment is great, but that's about as good as it gets. The food looks amazing and the portions are huge. So what's the issue? Oil, everything is drowning in cheap cooking oil. It's the underlying flavor of almost every dish. We ordered a lot, Mac and cheese coquette, just have one while there are hot, after that don't bother it becomes a gluten stodgy oily brick that is unpleasant to eat.Avocado salad. Avocado salad. All you can taste is the cheap olive oil they drowned it in. The couscous is bland. There are moments of great flavor, sweat and spicy peppers, but ruined by the overpowering taste of low quality olive oil.
Beer battered fish, it's OK! The batter has a good hint of beer, but it's thin and greasy. Forget the grease frozen chips. Homemade, real potato, chips would have been a vast improvement.
The red pepper lasagna has a promising start, you get a good hit of flavors between the tomatoes and skinned peppers, but the stodgy bland pasta kills the enjoyment.
Lemon dressed green beans, I feel they would of be better off being hot seared in a wok first.
Crispy squid, not enjoyable at all. The batter has an thick oily taste, no seasoning and the squid unremarkable. Not worth ordering.
6 out of 10 primary because of location and atmosphere, the food is not so good.
All in all, I can't say I would recommend anything we had.
