Not so British!

My friend saw this new restaurant on open rice one day and asked me to go try it with her, of course I said yes because we both missed ‘Fish and Chips’ (F&C) from the UK very much. As it is very hard to found good F&C in HK. We were both very excited to go because we thought we would relive the taste of UK’s Fish and Chips. We deliberately travel out from N.T to go try it out. When we arrived I was shocked to find out it was situated inside a food court, but I was still looking forward to order

As it is very hard to found good F&C in HK. We were both very excited to go because we thought we would relive the taste of UK’s Fish and Chips. We deliberately travel out from N.T to go try it out. When we arrived I was shocked to find out it was situated inside a food court, but I was still looking forward to order my F&C. We ordered a large F&C and a steak pie. The F&C arrived in a pretty box. The size of the fish was fairly big and the portion of chips was decent. We drenched it was vinegar and salt, proper british way. The outlook was good but the taste was disappointing. The fish was not moist and juicy enough and the batter was quite flat compared to UK’s standard. The chips were a little dry too. The most disappointing was the steak pie, it took forever to arrive, and when it came the crust was soft and soggy.
