located at the center of the beautiful nan lian garden (free admission), this restaurant serves modernized vegetarian food with fusion of cantonese, northern chinese and western cooking. this place is a delightful & refreshing gourmet must-do, clearly above and beyond most of the other "commercialized" restaurants, whether vegetarian or not.combo appetizer plate ($88) -- cucumber, beet with mayo, noodle skin, bean curd sausage, and oyster mushroom. unique tastes that their names cannot describe.

japanese black mushroom with tofu ($70) -- served in a clay pot with bean sauce. somewhat traditional cantonese style, but tastes a lot better without heavy seasoning.
braised taro with purple bean sauce ($65) -- served in a clay pot with plenty of sauce for eating with rice. fantastic flavor and addictive! voted the best dish by our group.
fried rice with pine nuts, puree ginger and mushroom ($80) -- simple and crisp dish, maybe a bit on the dry side.
although they request you to spend a minimum of $85 per person for lunch, there is no problem finding the right dishes for a group of 3-4 or more.
did i mention the windows on one side of the restaurant are actually behind a waterfall? great view, great service, comfy seating! allow ample time to eat and stroll the gardens.
