As a green tea super fan, I try my very best to taste all green tea series dessert. I heard this is originated from Taiwai so I wonder if there is any specialty that differs from other green tea dessert place.First of all, I have to talk about the seating arrangement first. Lol that’s the first time I have ever encountered this. It’s no one’s fault but just a bit funny or awkward. I went to the shop alone and the staff assigned me to share a table with two customers. I think it is fine but the air conditioning was like freezing so the staff offered me to change to a table for six. No joke. The air conditioning was super cold and I was sitting right under two air-conditioners.

As there are no more available seats, I sat alone at that table for six. After a while, a group of six people came in and had to share the table with me as that’s the only big table in the shop. It made the situation a bit awkward as two groups of strangers had to be packed in a table in a ratio of 1:6. That group even asked the staff to take a group photos for them so I better hid myself in order not to be filmed in it. Just sharing and find it as a funny experience anyway.

For the food, assuming no expectation sounds the best way to try any new restaurant. I read through some commentaries about this shop but personally, I think the green tea series is overrated. The Hojicha Sundae is served with a few layers of red bean pastes, tofu, green tea jelly and cereals. I can say there is nothing special at all. Just put the ingredients all together in a glass and that’s all. In short, if you have the ingredients, you can also do it yourself.

Each layer does not stick closely and you can see so much empty room which can be filled even more.

The hojicha ice-cream is soft and icy but the portion is slightly small as you can see the centre of the ice-cream is not fully filled. It was not worth $52 anyway.

For the service, the staff are very nice and helpful. It is rare to see someone being that cheerful when you make a food order in Hong Kong. Keep up the good work and spread the positive vibe to the customers.
