I have been to Oh Food many times. So many times, I have a VIP card to get 10% off. I realized I haven't written about this place, so I will now.Oh Food serves fairtly authentic Arabic cuisine. The restaurant isn't big (it's literally a small flat) but it does have a decent amount of customers every time I go. The staff is Arabic but he speaks a little bit of Chinese. They recently hired a Chinese girl, I guess to help with the locals. The staff is super helpful if you have questions on the food if you are not familiar with Arabic food.
Menu is in English and Chinese. It's laminated and they give you a marker to write on the menu for ordering. We came for lunch so we decided on the set lunch which includes a soup or appetizer, main and drink for $80. There is no 10% service charge.
Lemonade with Mint. This is what I chose for my set drink. It was tart with lemons and still had a strong mint taste.
Hummus. Usually, I'm not a fan of hummus, but this is really good hummus. Not overly chalky and very smooth. it had a swirl of olive oil. This came with soft pita.
Chicken Shawerma with Tahina Sauce. All mains came with tumeric rice. The rice was soft and fragrant. The chicken was not dry and had a had a faint spicy flavor. The tahini sauce tasted fresh and not too rich.
Muttabol. Boyfriend chose this as his appetizer. I thought to point this out as it was superb. It's eggplant and really rich and smooth. It also came with pita to scoop. A great dip.
Always a great place to eat for a reasonable price. Service is friendly. Place is clean and tidy. Food is excellent. They give you a stamp card and if you collect a certain amount of stamps, you get a VIP card for discounts. I'm always back.張貼
