Had my lunch at Caffe Vergnano 1882 today and was shocked to learn that they only have 2 shops left in Hong Kong! It is sad to see such a fine italian chain restaurant shrunk their business in a few years time....Today, I tried their set lunch which comes with salad, a sandwich called Pinturicchio, which comprised pesto chicken breast, argula, tomato and mayonaisse, coffee and desert.The salad looks nice and decorative but the taste was so so as I found them put too mucn balsalmic vinegar on it,

The salad looks nice and decorative but the taste was so so as I found them put too mucn balsalmic vinegar on it, which made me taste nothing but vinegar.
Next comes the sandwich. Again, it looks nice but maybe because the chicken breast was cut too thin comparatively with the western bread which I could not recall the taste of it.
Next comes the coffee. Nice strong coffee, not too acidic. This is what makes this restaurant well known of. For the dessert, it is brownie. The taste is ok and I like it not too sweet!The price range for this restaurant is low considering it's class. If the food can improved a little bit, I believe they can have a good match up with cafe habitu
