This is a neighborhood dim sum place we visit from time to time when the parental units are here and in the mood for dim sum with no advance planning--the food is rather so-so, with hits and misses all over the place, but there's something to be said for having a cheap family-friendly place right in the neighborhood. The wait staff is always very helpful in the sense that they will find a seat for you and adjust their existing customers like so many tetris blocks until you get a comfortable boo
Personally I'd stay away from the rice in pot dishes that seem to be their promoted product--I've had the chicken feet and ribs one a couple of times and the rice is dry while the ribs are soggy and not exactly the freshest cut this side of town. However, my mom utterly loved it, so perhaps the dish simply isn't to the taste of some.
My favorite dish is the fried shrimp wonton--very freshly fried with large frozen shrimp in the middle, just the way I like it. The congee is a bit bland but great for an upset stomach/as hungover cure. The shrimp dumpling with green veggies is a bit of a twist upon the classic Ha Gao, but the taste is pretty much the same as regular shrimp dumplings, no better or worse.
In sum, a good, family-friendly dim sum option for people who live in the neighborhood and do not have very strict standards when it comes to taste or decor--I'm a fan!
