I have been looking for a decent noodle place for many years in Hong Kong, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I first visited this store. The menu is very simple and the restaurant definitely stays with what it does best: Yunnan style mutton soup with rice noodles. You can choose between mutton with skin or without, and you can also add some pickled vegetables to your soup for 1 dollar. Basic drinks come for 6 dollar each.
Now, you can easily recognize people coming there for the first time: They will usually order the big bowl (45 HKD), which has such an enormous size that it can easily feed two people. While people from the Mainland won't be too shocked about this, in "tiny portion" HK that easily equals 3~4 bowls in a HK noodle restaurant.
I usually opt to share a big bowl or go for the small one (35 HKD and still a lot). Honestly, there is hardly a better deal in Hong Kong.
And the flavor is amazing. The lamb meat quality is really good and they are not greedy with the ingredients at all. You can add vinegar and some spices to adjust the flavor as well, and you will have a hard time NOT to drink the soup, because it is delicious as it is.
