Lei Garden is always round the neighbourhood, it is one of my top choices for Cantonese cuisine if it is around. Lei Garden Shatin is a restaurant with high quality of food, yet reasonably priced. I believe Lei Garden is one of the best Cantonese restaurants in Shatin. 石窩干星斑腩
This is not a bad dish at all, a dish with strong flavour! The grouper fillet was deep fried, almost cooked to perfection and mixed with the gravy and scallion in the hot stone pot. Perhaps it was a wee bit too heavy for lunch.
西洋菜煲生魚It is a nice simple soup that is full of fish and veggies flavours. It would be a great choice to kick off the lunch.
欖菜肉未炆豆腐The bean curd was deep fried, perfectly seasoned. Then sautéed with the preserved olive leaves, and this allow the flavour of the preserved leaves to diffuse thoroughly. And then slow cooked with the minced meat and the gravy. It was a breathtaking dish with complex flavours.
秘制海山骨It has to be the best part of the lunch. The pork loin was well seasoned, and the timing to deep fry it was just perfect. The meat was tender. A classic example of simplicity with fresh ingredients makes perfection.
金銀蛋莧菜The spinach was a little bitter and the broth was under seasoned. The century egg was spongy. It is fairly cooked.
濃湯雲勝泡手垃麵The noodles were very tender and fresh and in went well with the strong flavoured broth. It is rarely that diners can enjoy fresh noodles!
The restaurant was at running at full capacity, but the food arrived fairly quickly, impressive. The staffs have handled the table with care and attention to details, the tea and water was refilled without asking. Lei Garden is not just a restaurant round the neighbourhood with good food, with great service at a reasonable price. Highly recommended. 張貼
