After finishing our soccer game, my friend bring me to a popular restaurant known for their sliced noodles. 銘興山西刀削麵 was located at Ivy Street, Tai Kok Tsui. When we reached, the shop was already full of people, with people queuing outside as well. Even though they sold mainly sliced noodles, but their menu was very comprehensive. Ovaltine crunchy was very sweet, with strong ovaltine taste. Crunchy bits was placed on top, making the drink crispy and crunchy in taste.
Black sesame soya milk and soya milk were very smooth and sweet, with strong soy and black sesame taste.
Hot stirred beef tripe and duck gizzard knife cut noodles - Knife cut noodles was one of the best around, with the chef cutting it freshly on the spot. Noodles was thick in texture and was chewy. It was mixed with salad and dan dan sauce, making it flavourful and appetizing in taste. beef tripe was tender and duck gizzard was chewy as well.
Soup knife cut noodle with chicken steak and shredded beef - Soup was clear and tasty, going well with the noodle, which was very chewy. Chicken steak was fried till crispy and juicy, and shredded beef was thin in texture and tender.
Chicken with rice wine - Chicken was cooked till soft and smooth, juicy as well as it absorbed the essence of the rice wine.
Cucumber salad and black egg salad with garlic - Cucumber was crunchy and juicy, absorbing the mala and spicy sauce. Black egg was soft and smooth too.
Fried vegetarian spring roll - It was fried till the skin was crispy and the fillings inside was hot and chewy too.
