I admit that I have been to quite a few fun pubs/clubs/bars in this cool little town but if you want a no nonesense, fun place to drink and eat look no further. There's more beers to choose from than books in the adverage library. The food rocks. Try a pie or pasty to complement your choice of Brew. (classic cheese and onion pasty pictured below) The pasty has a long history in the western parts of the world as it was easily made in the morning and then carried by workers such as lumberjacks into the field. The pasty was ideal because it would stay warm for hours and was usually a nice and warm, nourishing lunch. They were pretty famous in Michigan, where I grew up. This one at The Globe brought back some memories! The chips were great too. Not too oily and pretty good when paired with HP sauce! My favorite aspect of The Globe is the people who congregate there. I always seem to meet old friends there and make new. A good pub song sung at the top of a few lads lungs is common place. Darts, a back corner game room and great staff. Hard to go wrong!
