Phew After a long and frustrating wait, we finally got to enter this famous Pompompurin themed Cafe! Have never been waited so long just for a meal, better be good!Okay so we ordered three dishes cause we were really hungry after this long wait!First dish, Mushroom& Bacon Carbonara, yum! The best dishes among all three! The sauce is creamy, not too salty which is good. First dish, Mushroom& Bacon Carbonara, yum! The best dishes among all three! The sauce is creamy, not too salty which is good. On the other hand, the onion rings on the plate are completely ICE COLD:/ I thought fried snack are always meant to eat when it is cold, so disappointing The tomato sauce and bread are cold as well, but its okay as they dont have to be eaten when they are still steaming hot. Oh the worst thing, the broccoli appeared to be sour :/
Second dish, Coconut milk chicken curry, Wow it looked so good but it didnt taste as good as it looked. The curry has a strong smell of coconut milk, but the rice is a bit cold and they all sticked together, it is definitely not the texture that we chinese would like. It is reasonable and acceptable the staff has to put all the rice really tight to make the pompompurin's face right?
Last dish, Mild-tasting Russian Stroganoff, yes its pretty mild, and surprusingly good, except the rice is same as the previous dish too, tight, not good texture. The beef which was decorated as pompompurin's hat was okay, nothing excpetional.
I suggest it is better to think twice to go if you are NOT really into Pompompurin as the food is quite average but relatively expensive.
