My friend and I came here on the first Friday night since dine-in time was extended from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. As you can imagine, Hong Kong was popping that night, as was this restaurant.I made the booking on OpenRice a few days before our visit, and they called me on the day to confirm.

I caught a glimpse of my name on her clipboard, and thought I could help her out by pointing to my name and booking, but as soon as I did that, she freaakkedd out and told me there's a lot of private contact information of other customers so I shouldn’t point or look at her booking list..... ookayyy, I get that, but chill ya? She also emphasized that they have MANY bookings that night. Eventually, she located my booking.
The restaurant is quite small and cramped, so it can feel overwhelming on a loud and busy night, when all the tables are full and the staff are rushing around to serve food while skirting around tables and other staff to avoid bumping into each other.
The service is attentive, but maybe a little too attentive, which also felt overwhelming sometimes. The staff would constantly ask us if we were ready to order, if we wanted another drink, if they could take our plates, if they could change our plates... I THINK they meant well and they were being sincere, though we couldn't help but wonder if maybe they also wanted us to finish the meal as soon as possible to return the table. After all, they had MANY bookings that night.
Four paragraphs in and still I haven't talked about the food! Well, the food was ok. But it was definitely too expensive for what it was. The portions were ridiculously small. Same goes for the drinks. $88 for Suntory draught... and not even for a full pint. Why...? I completely agree with another reviewer who couldn't understand how this restaurant could charge such expensive prices when the food and decor is just mediocre...
