Big john's waffles have always been my 'to try' list and I decided today was the day to try it out! The madam at the reception wasn't very friendly. But again, what do you expect from a little shop in hk right? I ordered a waffles to take away, and she told me it costs HKD$26.00. I was like 'what??' With 26 dollars I could get a lot more so then she asked if I wanted a small portion so I went with it and paid HKD13.00, which is fair for a normal HK style waffle. But then it was ready and i was '

But then it was ready and i was 'stunned'
I'm quite generous when it comes to spending on food but this is pushing it a little I thought. I had a bite. To be fair it tasted alright. A bit too chewy to my liking though. Anyway with that price I could have gotten a lot better and I'm genuinely disappointed. Maybe its waffle isn't exactly the signature dish.
In conclusion I wouldn't pay this shop a visit again, and there are many other better choices for HK style waffles.
