Have tried their different baked goods over the past few years. Tried their signatures (puff pastry biscuit and egg tarts, i think). So here are my picksaper-wrapped cake: I think they make it better than Maxim's - while it is not as soft, it is more airy and pillowy. It shapes and rises up nicely and has a milkier and eggier aroma, whereas Maxim's smells more buttery. Bonus: love their little "Happy Cake Shop" logo on their muffin cups! Large raisin bread ($5.5): A huge loaf of caramel-colored

Large raisin bread ($5.5): A huge loaf of caramel-colored bread with raisins. I can't believe its price. The bread is so soft when it's fresh, and they are not meager with the raisins. Make sure to consume asap - it started getting stale (hardened up just a little bit) the day after. the enjoyment is only short-lived.
The quality isn't bad but I don't think their things are especially commendable. would come for convenience's sake, but I won't have a Happy Cake Shop egg tart/bread craving anytime soon. maybe it's their price that's so attractive. The staff aren't very friendly either - my impressions of them (from past experiences and the most recent one) is that they aren't very polite nor helpful - not really "happy".
