Arrived in HK from the tropics so the weather seemed cooler than it actually was. I'm not a hot pot aficionado as I detest anything that will warm my body temperature considerably. However, an alfresco hot pot on a winter's night does bring some pleasant warmth for the heart.Normally i use raw egg as the sauce but i just couldn't pass the DIY soy sauce - something i find only happen in hk. Squid ball was nice, it was nicely mixed and didn't taste too much of flour. the beef was very juicy pork

Squid ball was nice, it was nicely mixed and didn't taste too much of flour.
the beef was very juicy
pork cheek was exceptionally good
fishball with cheese may be more suited for the kids who thought they were going to pizza hut
the seafood dishes were also good and didn't smell too fishy, though i can argue oysters a best left raw
the free (at least i think it was free) vegetables looked as if it had been sitting in the fridge for a few days so we just left it dry
lastly, the chicken... well it was chicken - took it home raw to make congee

The bamboo drink merely balances the heat from the food, leaving your palate fresh wanting for more.

Service was surprisingly efficient and courteous, they regularly checked our table and promptly disposed of empty plates.

Overall, a pleasant dining experience though I find it hard to imagine anyone going there during the summer months.
