I like to eat out in the Tin Hau vicinity. Getting bored with those nicely decorated but serving bad food restaurants in that area, we're exploring North Point first along Woo Fu Rd. I like to take a look at the freshness seafood to judge a restaurant. The big clams and razor clams both look quite lively, though a bit sleepy probably because of the weather. I like to take a look at the freshness seafood to judge a restaurant. The big clams and razor clams both look quite lively, though a bit sleepy probably because of the weather. Plus the Hainan chicken look kind of yummy, we decided to give it a try.
The Hainan chicken leg's very good. The meat's soft, tender and juicy. The dish came boneless so it's hassle-free. Although the chicken oil rice lacks of chicken oil, its cooked just right.
We'd a hard time choosing big or razor clams. At the end I chose the fresher razor clams. (When I touched their bodies, they re-spond/act quicker.) The portion's a bigger than expected. Instead of giving you empty shells, you can enjoy plenty of meaty sweet content. The taste's just right with right amt of spice. On a day with temperature as low as 12C, the heat of the dish miraculously survived because of the small plate used.
We're more than half-full by now but still looking for better. The waitress recommended the American oysters which I chose to go with spring onion and ginger in pot. Again the beefy portion and the husky oysters impressed me first-sight. The spring onion and ginger, both I don't usually eat, were able to bring out the freshness and sweetness of the oysters which, like the rest of the dishes, were very soft and tender.
The waitress's adorable. All the dishes we order were either straight recommendation by her or thoughtful adaptation catering for our needs. The side dishes, the iced calamansi drink and the hot carrot & sugar cane soup, were pretty good too.
